LOS ANGELES--(Business Wire)--Inception Film Partners, LLC, a global film distribution company involved in motion picture and television sales, finance and production, has acquired international distribution rights to the highly acclaimed faith-based hit “Home Run.” This is the first major acquisition for the newly formed Inception Film Partners, a subsidiary of Inception Media Group, LLC.

“The subject matter, as well as the inspirational storyline, will make this a popular title for distribution across multiple platforms.”

The film was produced by Carol Span Mathews and opened theatrically on more than 400 screens across the country April 19, 2013 and to-date is the highest grossing faith-based film of the year.

“We’re very pleased to be able to bring this film to audiences worldwide,” said Alex Barder, president of Inception Film Partners, LLC. “The subject matter, as well as the inspirational storyline, will make this a popular title for distribution across multiple platforms.”

Baseball all-star Cory Brand (Scott Elrod, “Argo”) knows what it takes to win in the big leagues, but off the field, with memories of his past haunting him, his life is spiraling out of control. Cory’s agent (Vivica A. Fox, “Kill Bill”) sends him back to the small town where he grew up. Forced to coach the local youth baseball team and spend eight weeks in the only recovery program in town, Cory can’t wait to return to his old life as quickly as possible. As his young players help him experience the joy of the game, Cory discovers his need to find freedom from his past and hope for his future and win back the love he left behind. “Home Run” is journey of transformation and redemption.

The deal was negotiated between Alex Barder, president of Inception Film Partners, and Elsa Ramo and Tiffany Boyle of Ramo Law on behalf of the film’s producers.
