Fathom Events and Screenvision Partner to Expand Distribution of Stage Production to More Than 300 Theaters Over Three Nights This February

CENTENNIAL, Colo.--(Business Wire)--The critically-acclaimed recent Broadway production of “Romeo and Juliet” is expanding to an additional 300 movie theaters for 800 showtimes nationwide through Fathom’s Digital Broadcast Network on Thursday, Feb 13 and Friday, Feb. 14 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 16 at 2 p.m. (all times local). Presented by Fathom Events, Screenvision and BroadwayHD, the highly-buzzed-about production stars Orlando Bloom in his Broadway debut opposite the gifted Tony®-nominated Condola Rashad. The production, which had a limited 16-week engagement, was the first time in over 36 years the play has been produced for Broadway.

Captured live in Nov. 2013 at New York’s Richard Rodgers Theatre by multiple high-definition cameras, the stunningly modern stage production was directed on stage by five-time Tony® nominee David Leveaux and for the cinemas by Don Roy King (Saturday Night Live). In addition to Bloom and Rashad, the cast includes Christian Camargo (The Hurt Locker, Dexter), Justin Guarini (American Idol, American Idiot), Tony® Award winners Brent Carver (Kiss of the Spider Woman, Sleepy Hollow), Chuck Cooper (Law & Order, American Gangster) and two-time Tony® nominee Jayne Houdyshell (Follies).
