Machinima To Distribute Adrenaline-Fueled Series About Black Market Car Theft
Los Angeles, CA (July 1, 2013) – Paramount’s Insurge Pictures and Machinima today announced a partnership on a brand new web series “CHOP SHOP”. Created by Josh Baizer and Marshall Johnson (“MORTAL KOMBAT: LEGACY”), and produced by the Bandito Brothers (“ACT OF VALOR”), former Red Wagon Exec Josh Weinstock, and Elliott Lester (“BLITZ”), ‘”CHOP SHOP” is an epic, edge-of-your-seat action series that explores the world of underground black market car theft.
Directed by Elliott Lester, “CHOP SHOP” is packed with intense heists and white-knuckled car chases, based in the gritty streets of Los Angeles. It follows the story of two professional car thieves who find their close friendship tested, and their loyalties pushed to the limit when one ultimately betrays the other.
Machinima will be the exclusive distributor of the Paramount Insurge series through their cross platform networks including YouTube, Mobile (iPhone, Android, etc), and Xbox app, amongst others.
