June 5, 2013 – Relativity and Reel FX announced today that they have cast Hispanic radio personality Eddie ‘Piolin’ Sotelo (Ice Age: Continental Drift), drummer for the world-renowned rock band Tool Danny Carey and Australian actor Josh Lawson (The Campaign) as the newest voice over talent in their upcoming animated comedy Free Birds, helmed by Jimmy Hayward (Horton Hears A Who!). CULVER CITY, Calif., June 5, 2013 – Sony Pictures Entertainment has optioned the rights to remake A Prophet, the French hit released in the US in 2010, into an English language film to be produced by Neal H. Moritz and Toby Jaffe through the Original Film banner, it was announced today by Doug Belgrad, president of Columbia Pictures, and Hannah Minghella, president of Production for the studio.

Specialty Arm Acquires North American Rights and Select Major Territories from HanWay Films

LOS ANGELES, CA June 3, 2013 - Fox Searchlight Pictures Presidents Stephen Gilula and Nancy Utley announced today that the company has acquired North American rights as well as select major territories to the black comedy crime tale DOM HEMINGWAY.  Written and directed by Richard Shepard, DOM HEMINGWAY stars Jude Law, Richard E. Grant, Demián Bechir and Emilia Clarke.  The film was produced by Academy Award-winner Jeremy Thomas at Recorded Picture Company.  The film is scheduled to be released in 2014.

LOS ANGELES--(Business Wire)--Academy Award-winning Visual Effects artists Alec Gillis and Tom Woodruff, Jr., co-founders of Studio ADI (Amalgamated Dynamics, Inc.) have launched a Kickstarter Campaign to bring their science fiction/horror film celebrating animatronics and makeup FX, “Harbinger Down,” to the silver screen. Gillis and Woodruff hope fans are excited to help not only make a new horror classic, but also to uplift an art form. The filmmakers’ goal is to raise $350,000 from fan support via the Kickstarter campaign by June 7, 2013 to get the project off the ground.
