The Four Grand Prize Winners of Time Warner Cable’s Short Film Contest in Association with IFC Announced

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Time Warner Cable (NYSE: TWC) today announced the four Grand Prize winners of the Time Warner Cable Short Film Contest in Association with IFC.


“Planting Hope: Pearl Fryar’s Message of Giving”

Each of the winners will receive a trip for two to the 2011 Sundance Film Festival among other great prizes.

The four winning short films, “From Me to You,” “Hoodtales,” “March Hare” and “Planting Hope: Pearl Fryar’s Message of Giving” represent a variety of film genres and styles. An expert panel of judges and online voting from the public determined the top four entries among the 19 finalists. The winning entries can all be viewed on Time Warner Cable’s YouTube channel, (www.youtube.com/timewarnercable).

Each of the four winners will receive a trip for two to the 2011 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, on January 23-27 which includes hotel, air transportation and ground transportation. Additionally, the prize will include $500 spending money, two tickets to a film screening at the Festival, a video camera, and a one-year subscription to Time Warner Cable digital cable and Road Runner high speed internet services.
