FORK FILMS ANNOUNCES 2016 GRANTEES   New York, NY (July 12, 2016) - New York-based production company Fork Films announced today it has provided grant funding to ten new projects in various stages of development. Selected from a pool of over 250 applicants, the ten chosen films - nearly all from female filmmakers - represent a wide range of talents and tackle tough and often under-reported issues of poverty, oppression, abuse and disability, among other topics. The projects sustain the company's commitment to promoting peace-building, human rights and social justice through documentary and narrative filmmaking.

BURBANK, Calif. (June 30, 2016) – Wreck-It Ralph is heading back to the big screen, and this time, he’s wrecking the internet. The Oscar®-nominated Walt Disney Animation Studios team from the original film is reteaming for the follow-up, including director Rich Moore (“Zootopia,” “The Simpsons”) and producer Clark Spencer (“Zootopia,” “Bolt”). Phil Johnston (writer, “Wreck-It Ralph,” “Zootopia,” “Cedar Rapids”) joins Moore as director and a writer on the project. John C. Reilly and Sarah Silverman return as the bad-guy-turned-good, Ralph, and the girl with the game-winning glitch, Vanellope von Schweetz. The untitled sequel will hit theaters—literally—on March 9, 2018.

LOS ANGELES, CA, June 14, 2016 – Fox Searchlight Pictures announced today that Domhnall Gleeson (THE REVENANT, STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS) is set to play well known author and Winnie the Pooh creator A. A. Milne with Margot Robbie (THE WOLF OF WALL STREET) as his wife Daphne.  The film will be directed by Simon Curtis (WOMAN IN GOLD, MY WEEK WITH MARILYN) and written by Frank Cottrell Boyce (MILLIONS) and Simon Vaughan (“War and Peace”).  Damian Jones (ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS: THE MOVIE, THE LADY IN THE VAN) and Steve Christian (BELLE) will serve as producers.  GOODBYE CHRISTOPHER ROBIN continues Jones’ long term relationship with Fox Searchlight and is part of his first look deal.

Film Set for Nationwide Release August 25, 2017

Broad Green Pictures has finalized a deal to distribute Academy Award nominee Ron Shelton’s Villa Capri starring  Academy Award® winners Morgan Freeman (Now You See Me 2, Unforgiven, Lucy) and Tommy Lee Jones (Jason BourneThe Fugitive, JFK) in the United States and to co-produce the film with Entertainment One (eOne), Billy Gerber and Endurance’s Steve Richards.  John Mass and Alan Simpson are executive producers on the film. The movie will be released nationwide just ahead of the Labor Day weekend on August 25, 2017 and is slated to begin principal photography in New Mexico this summer.

Twice Magician of the Year, widely considered by his peers to be the greatest stage Magician of the past century. Now, add award-winning filmmaker to his extensive list of accomplishments. Lance Burton yielded to his muse, and immersed himself fully into his dream of making a family feature film. “Billy Topit Master Magician” made its film festival world premiere with Burton serving as the production’s co-writer (with Michael Goudeau), director, producer and its star. The Wild Rose judging team showed their love of this fun, magic-infused romp by awarding “Billy Topit Master Magician” six awards, including a coveted Best Award as the Best Family Film at the 2016 festival.
